Yep, QT X, 10.6 only (and iOS 3.0+). Eryk Vershen presented the tech at WWDC10 in Session 403, Advances in HTTP Live Streaming (session video available on iTunes). There is also an article on ADC about it. There are even boxes from Envivio and Inlet that will take an SDI input and spit out this type of stream.

Which means that http live streaming is supported by both QTKit on Snow Leopard and AV Foundation on iOS 3&4… It was a much better experience than rtsp streaming!
