Adobe Anywhere collaborative editing in a familiar environment. http://t.co/u8AFGLKN
I was impressed when I first saw this demonstrated as a Technology Preview at NAB 2012. Terry Curren and I have discussed it as part of a show on cloud-based editing in Episode 40 of The Terence and Philip Show: Will we be outsourced or automated out of existence?
To be clear it’s sequential sharing of edits – only one person can work on a timeline at once, and I think that’s a very good thing! Passing between people seemed extremely fast.
I also liked that it used the same interface for collaborative/cloud editing as for local media editing, something not so true in the Avid world.
Adobe’s view of the world become increasingly attractive: monthly software rental and the various cloud offerings makes for a very scalable, collaborative workflow.
Good explanation from FXGuide.
